Children’s Day was organized at Bal Bhawan on 14 November 2024. To celebrate Children’s Day, children from nearby schools, boys and girls learning basic computers and English and Mathematics/Science in Bal Bhavan, some children from the crèche and their mothers and many mothers including Anganwadi workers and assistants participated.
The program was inaugurated by presenting a flower bunch to the Chief Guest Mr. Pulkit Arora, Branch Manager, Axis Bank, Mr. V.K. Doval and Mrs. Pushpa Manas. Everyone was told about Shri Pulkit Arora ji by Dr. Asha Srivastava Treasurer Council. Saraswati Vandana, welcome song and group song were presented by the students of Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya. After this, the children were told why Children’s Day is celebrated by Shri Bhupesh Joshi, former Vice President of the Council. Children were asked some general knowledge questions and those who answered promptly and correctly were honored with prizes.

In sports, a race competition was organized among boys and girls. All the boys/girls present ran. Participated in the competition.
On the basis of the information received on telephone from Raj Bhavan on the above mentioned subject, the 16th general meeting of Uttarakhand State Child Welfare Council, Dehradun, to be held on 09 October 2024 in the auditorium of Raj Bhavan, has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

We are pleased to inform that on 02 October 2024, the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Bal Bhawan Complex of Uttarakhand State Child Welfare Council, Aamwala Tarla, Nanurkheda, Dehradun.
So, you are requested to come to ‘Bal Bhawan’ on 02 October 2024 at 10:00 am. Your active participation in this function is requested.

2. Wreaths on the pictures of Gandhiji and Shastriji.
3. Competition: 1. Patriotic song 2. Folk song (by group of four children)
4. Speech Competition:
Topic: “Philosophy of life of Mahatma Gandhi.
Or
Topic: Work done by Shastri ji in the interest of the nation.
5. Sports:
A. 100 meter race for boys, girls, junior and senior.
B. Musical Chair Race Boys/Girls Junior Senior and Adult.
6. Painting competition topic: My flower plant.
(For the penmanship competition, the participating children will be given hardboard and art paper by the council and the children will have to bring their own pencils, pencils, erasers etc.)
7. Prize distribution: First, second and third prizes will be given to the winning children in the competitions.
8. Sweets distribution and closing.
